Gastroenterology – Endoscopy / Colonoscopy

Gastroenterologists are medical specialists with extensive training in diseases of the digestive tract. At Snoqualmie Valley Hospital, our highly trained staff uses state-of-the-art equipment to ensure the best quality testing, diagnosis and treatment. Our facility allows for personalized care to make the patient’s experience as pleasant and comfortable as possible.

We offer outpatient and inpatient services.

February 2022: Due to Governor Jay Inslee’s order to close elective procedures during the Omicron wave of COVID-19 in an effort to minimize staff impacts, our elective endoscopy services are currently closed. We are anticipating reopening the end of February.

For Consultations

Patients may be referred by their doctors for office consultations or patients may self refer if their insurance allows. Consultations are located at our Snoqualmie Valley Hospital Clinic (Specialty Services).

For Procedures

Patients are referred for procedures by their primary care doctors. Our staff will then contact the patient directly to set up an appointment. Procedures are performed at Snoqualmie Valley Hospital by Yen Chen, MD, who is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He completed internal medicine residency at Mt. Sinai in New York and his Gastroenterology fellowship training at SUNY Health Sciences Center in Brooklyn, NY. He is subspecialty trained and board certified in Gastroenterology and Endoscopy.
