Specialty: Internal Medicine, Hospitalist
Board Certified in Internal Medicine
Dr. Walia was born and raised in Washington. She went to Kentridge High School and then received a bachelor in Psychology at the University of Washington. After graduation she took time to teach Indian dancing to underprivileged children for the City of Seattle to help keep them off the streets. She then chose to go to India where she lived for six years and studied medicine in rural areas. There she met her husband. Dr. Walia then returned to America completing her residency training at the University at Buffalo in Internal Medicine. There she worked initially as a critical care hospitalist. Thereafter her husband’s career took them to Nashville and finally home to Seattle.
Dr. Walia is passionate about her role as a hospitalist and even more so her role as a mother to three boys. She enjoys balancing her career with family life with her husband being a plastic surgeon. They enjoy whatever time they have together traveling, movies, sports, and snuggling.
Dr. Walia still spends time teaching Indian dance to those interested in learning in and around the Snoqualmie area.
“As an acute care medicine physician it is my privilege to be able to care for those patients who are ill and require a stay in the hospital. I believe in a collaborate effort between patient, physician and hospital staff to promote an environment conductive to the healing process.”
