Clinical Psychologist Hilda Caquías, PSy.D joined our SVH team as a Behavioral Health Therapist at the Snoqualmie Ridge Medical Clinic.

Dr. Caquias brings a wealth of behavioral health knowledge to SVH. Born and raised in a small rural community in Puerto Rico, she received her BA in Psychology and Mental Health from the University of Puerto Rico in 2004. She graduated from The Ponce School of Medicine with her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2010 and completed two residencies, one with Mental Health Partners in Colorado during 2015 and another in Washington State with Confluence Health in 2017.

Her specialties include preventing, intervening and treating violence directed toward women. She is also certified in transgender health and expressive art therapy for trauma. She sees patients ages 10 years and older and is a member of our Women’s Health Team.

She said what excites her about working with SVH is “working with seasoned providers who know and understand the community they are serving and growing and developing the practice with the new providers.”

Her blended family includes her husband, four adult children, two grandchildren and a fur baby. She loves exploring Washington, traveling with her husband and dog, Koko, cooking, reading, painting, or just chilling by a lake.
