SNOQUALMIE, WA – Snoqualmie Valley Health is delighted to announce the recipient of the prestigious DAISY Award for exceptional nursing care. This award recognizes the extraordinary dedication and compassionate service provided by our nurses, as exemplified by Irene Mburu, RN, our latest DAISY Award honoree.
Mburu has worked with Snoqualmie Valley Health since March 2022 and is a nurse on the hospital’s inpatient unit. A recent patient had this to say about Mburu, “Irene was very kind, helpful and sensitive to my personal situation. She was positive and emotionally supportive through my recovery. She was the best nurse I have ever had and brings great value to the hospital. I am truly indebted to her.”

Awards are presented throughout the year at celebrations attended by the honoree’s colleagues, patients and visitors. Honorees receive a DAISY Award certificate, pin and a beautiful and meaningful sculpture called A Healer’s Touch, hand-carved by artists of the Shona Tribe in Zimbabwe.
