Noel Johnson was born and raised in Western Montana prior to moving to Seattle and completing High School at Ingraham High. He graduated from Pacific Lutheran University in 1976 magna cum laude with a Bachelors of Arts in Biology. After completing Medical School in Des Moines, IA, he went on to an Internal Medicine Residency at the Cleveland Clinic, returning to Seattle for a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. After attaining board certification in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Diseases, and Critical Care Medicine, he acquired additional training at Stanford University and became Board Certified in Sleep Disorders as well. Over the past ten years, he became increasingly involved in short-term, primary care, medical mission work in Peru, Panama, Cameroon, Chad, and India and felt a need to return to a primary care medicine in order to be more effective on the mission field. The hospitalist work at Snoqualmie Valley Hospital offered this opportunity.
